Everything is close together enough to be able to walk anywhere you want but cars are still basically needed.Great public schools (trouble kids hate them because of the great deal of security, but if you stay out of trouble you'll love it) from elementary to high school. The professors are knowledgable while students are friendly and always thriving to learn.Overall, this community has inspired me to be myself and chase opportunities relentlessly. In terms of recreation, Dale City has many things to do: fitness centers, bowling, skating, martial arts, libraries, park, and decent restaurants just to name a few. One of my favorite things here is the weekly Farmer's Market that forms every Sunday in the commuter lot off of Dale Blvd.If you enjoy a quiet and calm setting, Dale City is the place for you.
Most of my neighbors where health conscious single working professionals and married couples with young children. There are 2 little parks nearby for kids, a gym to work out in, a tennis court, and a pool!I lived in the area for 18 yrs and as a working professional, I loved living in West Alexandria. The area is affordable, safe, and bordering Arlington and it's nightlife. If I could live over again, however, I would not live here at first because the school that I went to in SC gave me more opportunities.I would still live here after graduating from hi school.
